“Hi, my name is Reg, and my family and I have been farming our herd of Fisher Herefords for over 50 years.”
While some boys grow up discussing football clubs and victories at the dinner table, I was immersed in conversations about pedigree cattle, lineage, and yield.
Cattle farming has been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember. My grandfather started as a dairy farmer, and my father followed in his footsteps. When I chose to invest in the purchase of the Fisher farm, I decided to disperse the dairy herd, not realizing that this decision would ignite a lifelong passion.
Although I moved away from dairy farming, I continued the generational tradition of pedigree breeding by starting my herd of Hereford cattle. Drawing on my dairy farming experience, I focused on creating a herd that is low-maintenance with excellent mothering and breeding capabilities.
Throughout my career, I’ve won awards for my Fisher Herefords and achieved success in the society sale ring, with a Cracker son reaching the top bid. Over the years, I’ve perfected a routine that works for me, the animals, and the land. Our small farm has expanded to over 600 acres, with the cattle currently grazing on more than 100 acres.

We’ve come a long way in 50 years, and I owe much of that success to the Hereford cattle. Even after all this time, my passion for the breed remains as strong as ever.
